MY MEDICAL
HISTORY-HEART DISEASE
It is a
common disease in Pakistan now-a –days. Everyone looks to be its patient. It is
because on some grounds that it is symbolic disease. When we come on road we
see some people stop walking. It is very interesting to observe that if a man
is feeling some pain in his chest, then what, he is not going to show himself
irritated.
It is in my
experience that when I became heart victim I could not walk at stretch. My
breath became swollen. I used to stop and pretended that I was groping my
mobile. When we begin hiding our disease like heart related we are at fault. It
has some reasons.
My food
habits were having almost thirteen cups of tea with full spoon sugar. It means
that I used one saucer of sugar in a day. It not only spoiled my health but I
became sugar patient- diabetes. When we are not ill we feel proud. We are on
the edge of doctor’s clinic. Moreover, the intake of fats in form of head and
foot of cow and goat on Eid and as usual eves increases cholesterol in our
body. But when we are advised by the doctor then there is none like us- expert
of diet.
Signs of
heart attack start when a man is with some up and down of blood pressure and
diabetes. I had low blood pressure and it started in 2010. I also sometime
complained of pain in my legs and sometime in back. In 2003 I had severe pain
in my back seat that I could not bear normal posture. I became my own doctor
and used mulberry beans. I grinded them and took with a glass of water for
about one week. After some days I got some relief but I did not how it all
happened.
When we give up walk in our routine and lie
without digesting our food we become ill.
I was telling you that I did not consult doctor and put off the matter.
Time began to slip and after this illness I had another. It was that I could not
lie straight but on sides. I consulted doctor at that time. He checked my ears
at first. He suggested that it was due to bathing drops that have access to
brain areas. He gave me stramatel and panadol Forte for three days. I got well
and began my routine actively.
In 2010, I
had a fret race in which a plenty of energy was consumed. I didn’t have any
idea to what quota. After in 2011, I had bad cold and it affected my back and
head. So to say I had medicine and became fit within one week.
In 2012, I
became really heart patient when I went to Sheikh Zyad Hospital emergency the
immediate doctor injected some pain killer, took my ECG and declared that I had
some stomach pain. But what it was? Yes, you guessed it. It was angina
pectoris. It was the start of heart invasion.
I could not
know the reality what was the cause of my disease? Would that doctor had spoken
right name and I would have taken right measures. But unfortunately, I ignored
its consequences and had to suffer later in life.
It was 5th
November, 2012 when at 3:00 am I lay down after urinating. I became restless I
could not even sit I was feeling pain in my whole body. Furthermore, I lived in
upper storey so it was hard to get me down in this painful situation. Somehow,
with some kind help of brother and some others. I was again admitted in same
hospital as mentioned earlier. But the doctor on duty diagnosed that it was
heart attack. I was at once admitted in I.C.U ward. I was injected some special
vaccine as life saving drugs. I was feeling pain continuously which changed
into relief after 8 hours. It was severe pain I ever faced. I remained in
hospital for 5 days. Doctors were insistent to have stent in clotted arteries.
It was costly so I had to quit it.
In 2012 it
was 21st October that I consulted dr. Sheheryar, a renowned
personality in Pakistan and abroad, who suggested bypass operation- the last
choice. My relations got some fear about the operation process and after
results. It happened that I got only 3 years and 2 months.
In advent of
2016 on 3rd January I had another attack but soon I got on my
nerves. I went to hospital and was suggested to admit in PIC Hospital, Lahore.
It was safe to do so. As accordingly I went through procedure and my history
was located. I had another angiogram in PIC by Doctor Mr. Abu Bakr. He was also
of the view to have bypass operation. But despite these invasions I was taking
medicine regularly.
At last, I
got to be admitted in ward on 2nd Febuary, 2016. I was operated upon
on 11 February. Doctors discharged me after their satisfaction on 16th
February but my sutures got some pus and I was again admitted in ward.
Treatment remained for one week till 28th March. I came home and now
I am taking rest. My upper side of heart on left is still swollen inside. I
feel as some gauze of cotton is there. Doctor Mr. Aftab Yunas operated me. He
took the artery grafting from arm. My left arm is also still swollen and
senseless. I am taking medicine as recommended by hospital.
